Italy | Florence & Roma
So it is official, James and I are crazy in love with Italy and everything about this beautiful country. We went to Italy with Luisa Via Roma and got to visit their beautiful store which was very cool as I have loved LVR for the longest time and I finally got to visit the actual store in Florence and do some shopping. Also, the entire store looks like a photo op!
We went to Florence first and had the most amazing stay at The Belmond San Michele Villa, where Michaelangelo actually created some magnificent architecture dated in the 15th Century. The hotel is nestled on a hilltop that overlooks a beautiful view Florence.
We got experience an amazing one on one cooking class with Chef Attilio Di Fabrizio who taught us how to make perfect gnocchi. This was definitely the best gnocchi we have ever had, hands down! Very pleased to say we have the recipe and will be recreating it here at home.
We stayed in a villa on the property that was very private and overlooked the hotel and Florence, called The Chapel. It was absolutely stunning and had the most stunning renaissance paintings on the bathroom ceiling. It was very lovely.
Following our amazing Florence trip, we drove to Roma to see more of what beautiful Italy has to offer! While we were in Rome, we stayed at the Hotel Eden. This hotel was absolutely stunning, the staff was super friendly and kind, the food was amazing, the view was spectacular and our suite was a dream! (Youtube video to follow)
James and I will certainly be going back to Italy soon after such an amazing experience we had, of course we knew what to expect with Dorchester Collection as they have leading hotels worldwide. We had the pleasure to stay at The Plaza Athenée in Paris during Paris Fashion Week, we had such a gorgeous suite and amazing first experience in Paris!
I definitely recommend everyone who visits Italy, to visit these spots, Thank me later ;)
Now here are some beautiful shots that James and I took during our memorable trip!
